Michigan has announced starting quarterback Denard Robinson is out for Saturday's game against the Minnesota Gophers due to an undisclosed injury. He hurt his right elbow last week. Devin Gardner will get the start for the Wolverines in the Little Brown Jug rivalry game.
Michigan entered the day favored by 9.5 points. If there was time for lines to tumble, they would, but kickoff is just seconds away. His loss leaves the Wolverines without pretty much their entire offense in a road game against a conference rival.
After spelling Robinson throughout 2011, Gardner has yet to throw a pass in 2012. He's functioned almost exclusively as a receiver, bringing in 16 passes for 266 yards. For his college career, he's thrown 33 attempts with 18 completions.
