2012 College football schedule: Michigan-Northwestern highlights Big Ten schedule

Michigan-Northwestern highlights a week of games that could eventually determine who lands in the Big Ten Championship Game this year.

With a possible appearance in the Big Ten Championship Game on the line, the Michigan Wolverines and Northwestern Wildcats both have a lot to lose going into Saturday's big match-up. Just a few weeks left in the season, Michigan, Northwestern and Nebraska are all jockeying to win the "Legends" division and a shot at the conference title.

While Northwestern is currently behind the Wolverines and Cornhuskers at 3-2 in conference play, the outlook could be radically different following Saturday's games. If the Wildcats can knock off the Wolverines in Ann Arbor and Nebraska gets upset by Penn State, all three teams will be tied going into the final two weeks of the season.

Meanwhile, in the "Leaders" division, all eyes are on the game between the Indiana Hoosiers and Wisconsin Badgers this week. Given the NCAA bans of Penn State and Ohio State, whichever team wins that game will essentially be in the driver's seat to land in the conference title game.

Here's the full slate of Big Ten games this week:

Wisconsin Badgers at Indiana Hoosiers (12 p.m. ET, ESPN2)
No. 24 Northwestern Wildcats at Michigan Wolverines (12 p.m. ET, ESPN)
Purdue Boilermakers at Iowa Hawkeyes (12 p.m. ET, BTN)
Penn St. Nittany Lions at No. 16 Nebraska Cornhuskers (3:30 p.m. ET, ABC/ESPN2)
Minnesota Golden Gophers at Illinois Fighting Illini (3:30 p.m. ET, BTN)
