The Michigan Wolverines stared the season in the top 10, but will end it far from that. The year was disappointing by those standards, but still one that Brady Hoke's squad finishing the regular season in the Top 25, including in SB Nation's BlogPoll. In that poll, Michigan clocks in at No. 23, a few notches below where they are in the AP and coaches polls.
The Wolverines dropped one slot in the off week, which saw teams like Louisville, Boise St., Utah St. and Northern Illinois jump in the rankings. Amongst Big Ten teams, the Wolverines are second behind only the Ohio St. Buckeyes and one spot ahead of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, who managed to cling to the rankings despite being demolished by the Wisconsin Badgers in the conference title game.
Michigan can ascend in the final rankings with a marquee win over the South Carolina Gamecocks in the Outback Bowl on New Year's Day. For now, here's the BlogPoll Top 25.
