Michigan Wolverines left tackle Taylor Lewan is already a hot prospect among NFL scouts, but on Thursday yet another accolade to his resume when he was named to the Walter Camp first-team All-American. The 6'8 junior lineman recieved the honor based on a vote by head coaches and sports information directors from 124 FBS schools.
As noted by Kyle Meinke of the MLive.com, Lewan will line up across from fellow first-team All-American, sophomore defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, when the No. 19 Michigan Wolverines take on the No. 11 South Carolina Gamecocks in the Outback Bowl on Jan. 1.
The Wolverines finished the season at 8-4 (6-2 Big Ten), and the offense ranked No. 98 in passing yards and No. 39 in rushing yards among FBS teams. The members of the All-America team will be honored on Jan. 12 at Yale University.
