Detroit Red Wings left wing Damien Brunner and his Swiss club, EV Zug, will be back on the ice on Friday against the SCL Tigers. Brunner and EV Zug are coming off of a 6-5 loss to the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers on Saturday.
Brunner is off to a blistering start in National League A play, racking up seven goals and 10 assists in 10 games. His 17 points leads the team, with Linus Omark and Raphael Diaz, who plays for the Montreal Canadiens, trailing just behind. Brunner leads the entire league in goals scored, and is just one point back of league-leader Glen Metropolit of HC Lugano, who has three goals and 15 assists.
EV Zug has gone 4-6-2 in its first 12 games of the season. They'll play five more times this month, with games coming on Oct. 19, 20, 23, 27 and 30.
