Every single week this season Michigan State has had a player honored by the Big Ten with its weekly awards. Le'Veon Bell earned the Freshman of the Week award on two separate occasions and three times a Michigan State player has captured the Special Teams Player of the Week honor (Dan Conroy, Aaron Bates and Keshawn Martin). Greg Jones took home the Defensive Player of the Week award earlier in the season, and now Trenton Robinson joins him as the other Spartan to capture that honor.
↵↵↵Robinson recorded seven tackles, an interception and a pass breakup to help the Michigan State defense hold Michigan to season-lows in points (17), rushing yards (162) and total yards (377). Michigan entered the game ranked among the top 10 nationally with 41.4 points, 324.4 rushing yards and 565.0 total yards per contest.
