A Michigan State player and the team as a whole received a couple of awards for last Saturday's Wisconsin game.
↵MSU returner Keshawn Martin was named the Big Ten's special teams player of the week. He returned a punt 74 yards for a touchdown and had 190 all-purpose yards, giving the Spartans a much-needed spark that propelled them to victory.
↵Michigan State as a whole was named the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl National Team of the Week. Every week the Football Writers Association of America honors a team for a big win, and MSU received the honor for beating Wisconsin.
