East Lansing, MI (Sports Network) - Kalin Lucas had a team-high 18 points as second-ranked Michigan State rolled to a 96-66 win over Eastern Michigan at the Breslin Center.
Lucas, who is playing his first game since rupturing his Achilles' tendon last March, also had five assists. Durrell Summers chipped in with 17 points including shooting 3-of-4 from the three-point arc.
Michigan State (1-0) is coming off a 28-9 record and its second straight Final Four appearance when the Spartans lost to Butler in the semifinals.
Brandon Bowdry's 32 points led Eastern Michigan (0-1), which is coming off a 17-15 record last season.
