After losing to Texas last week at home, Michigan State fell to 20th in the new AP Top 25. In the new USA TODAY/ESPN Coaches Poll, the Spartans have slid to 19th in the nation, one spot ahead of Louisville and one spot behind Texas A&M. This means that MSU is barely a top 20 team in the new NCAA basketball rankings for this week.
Unlike the AP Top 25, the Big Ten has six teams in the USA TODAY/ESPN Coaches Poll. Ohio State is second, which makes them the highest-ranked Big Ten team in the poll. Purdue is next up for the conference at No. 11, followed by No. 13 Minnesota. The Spartans are 19th and Wisconsin and Illinois round out the poll, coming in at No. 24 and No. 25, respectively.
