East Lansing, MI – Durrell Summers finished with 14 points to lead sixth-ranked Michigan State in a 74-39 rout of Bowling Green.
Draymond Green ended with 10 points and 12 rebounds while Keith Appling added 11 points for the Spartans (6-2), who bounced back from Wednesday’s 84-79 loss at Duke.
Michigan State was playing an overmatched Bowling Green team that had won only one game this season — against Ohio-Dominican on November 15. The Spartans held a 51-26 rebounding edge, and might have recorded an even bigger blowout if not for their 21 turnovers.
Scott Thomas netted 11 points and brought down six rebounds to lead the Falcons (1-7), who lost their sixth consecutive game.
