Thanks to its 28-14 win on Saturday, Michigan State has moved ahead of Michigan and into the top 15 in the new USA Today Poll. The expectation coming into Sunday was that the new college football rankings would have the Spartans ahead of the Wolverines, but there were no guarantees. Sometimes voters do some odd things, and keeping the Wolverines ahead of an MSU team that just beat them wouldn't have been completely out of left field. Thankfully, that did not happen, as MSU moved up to 13th and Michigan dropped to 17th.
