Fifth-year senior quarterback Kirk Cousins has been named one of the 10 finalists for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award, an award given to NCAA Division I seniors with notable achievements in four areas: community, classroom, character and competition. The finalists were chosen by the media from a list of 30 candidates announces last August.
↵Fan voting begins immediately and you can go vote at one of two places: the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award website or the Lowe's Senior Class Award Facebook page. Fan votes are taken into account along with media and Division I FBS head coaches to determine the eventual winner.
↵Cousins has been one of the best Spartans quarterbacks and ranks among Big Ten leaders in passing yardage (219.5 YPG), passing efficiency (140.5 rating), and touchdown passes (eight). At the very least, that covers the "competition" aspect of the award, right? If you remain unconvinced, or you want a list of all of the finalists, you can head over to this link.
