Michigan State Already Confirmed For 2013 Carrier Classic, According To Report

With the first ever Carrier Classic set to get underway between the Michigan State Spartans and the number-one ranked North Carolina Tar Heels on Friday comes some exciting news regarding the future of the game/event. According to Joe Rexrode, Mike Whalen of the Morale Entertainment Foundation has stated that MSU has agreed to play the game again in 2013.

There's no opponent as of right now for the 2013 iteration of the game, which is played on the deck of the USS Carl Vinson, an aircraft carrier. The event was initially thought up to commemorate Veteran's Day, and is looking to become a yearly tradition for NCAA basketball. 2012 is set to go down with a matchup between the UConn Huskies and the Arizona Wildcats on Nov. 9, 2012.

With news that MSU has already agreed for the 2013 game comes confirmation that this will likely become a tradition for as long as people are interested.
