Michigan State Vs. Duke Score Update: Duke Leads 34-33 At Halftime

The Duke Blue Devils lead the Michigan State Spartans by the slimmest of margins, 34-33, at halftime at Madison Square Garden in the Champions Classic.

Guard Brandon Wood leads Michigan State with eight points while forward Brendan Dawson has chipped in six points, two rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block on a perfect 3-3 shooting from the field.

Duke shooting guard Andre Dawkins has tormented the Spartans by making 4-6 three-pointers en route to 14 first-half points, hitting twice as many triples individually as Michigan State (2-10 from outside) has made as a team. Fellow backcourt mate Seth Curry has added nine points on 2-3 shooting and 4-4 from the line. As a result, the Blue Devils lead despite a freshman sensation Austin Rivers not making a field goal (0-1) in the first half. Rivers has contributed three points and three assists.

In a battle between not only star players but legendary coaches, with a win, Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski will break the all-time Division I record for most wins currently held by Bobby Knight. Krzyzewski is sitting on 902 wins.
