Michigan State 69, Arkansas-Little Rock 47: Spartans Take Care Of Business

It was business as usual Sunday afternoon for the Michigan State Spartans as they hosted Arkansas-Little Rock. Michigan State built a ten point halftime cushion and was able to cruise to a relatively easy win over the Trojans by a 69-47 margin at the Breslin Center.

Austin Thornton led the Spartans with 13 points off the bench while Keith Appling had 12. Michigan State had a very balanced attack on the day. Draymond Green and Brandon Wood were just outside of double figures with nine points each. Of the 12 players that saw action for Michigan State 11 cracked the scoring column.

Defensively, Michigan State was just as solid. The Spartans were able to hold the Trojans were able to 31.5 % shooting from the field as Arkansas-Little Rock hit only 17 of 54 shots. The Trojans were even worse from behind the three point arc, making only 4 of 19 attempts.
