Michigan State senior quarterback Kirk Cousins is in the process of leading the Spartans to a possible Big Ten title and a Rose Bowl bid. He is the first MSU quarterback to be part of a 4-0 record against arch rival Michigan in 50 years, so naturally the NFL is a possible future for him. Several college quarterbacks are projected to be can't-miss prospects in the 2012 NFL Draft, but where does Cousins fit in? ESPN's Todd McShay see Cousins as a solid NFL prospect and one that can win a backup job next season on an NFL roster:
↵↵↵"I have a third-round grade on him and think he could wind up going somewhere in the middle of the draft, and has a chance to be a good backup in the NFL and go from there," McShay said. "But I do think he has limitations and I think we're starting to see -- even when he plays very well -- there are certain things he can't do."

Cousins has 1.693 yards through eight games and 11 touchdowns against five interceptions.
