2011 Bowl Projections: Michigan, Michigan State Look Like Options For Jan. 2 Bowl Games

Bowl projections have Michigan State facing Arkansas in the Capital One Bowl, with Michigan playing South Carolina in the Outback Bowl.

After a wild weekend in the Big Ten's Legends Division, the Michigan Wolverines and Michigan State Spartans are projected to remain in the mix for a coveted spot in a January 2nd bowl game. Michigan State assumed the top spot in the division, bolstering their hopes for a Rose Bowl bid after both Michigan and the Nebraska Cornhuskers took losses on Saturday.

The College Football News has released their latest bowl projections taking into account the results this past Saturday. According to those projections, Wisconsin remains the favorite to win out and land the Big Ten No. 1 spot and Rose Bowl bid. Michigan State emerged from the weekend considered the favorite for the Big Ten No. 2 slot while CFN projects Michigan to hold onto the Big Ten No. 3 position.
