The Michigan State Spartans started the season against two Top 10 teams -- North Carolina and Duke -- and dropped both. Since then, they have strung together seven consecutive wins and are on the verge of cracking the Top 25 rankings.
They'll have to get through their third ranked opponent of the season, though, and on the road again. After winning their last two games handily at Breslin, the Spartans travel to the West Coast to take the hardwood against the No. 22 ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs.
Gonzaga has not played a ranked opponent yet this season and is coming off of a flat loss against Illinois last week. However, odds are in their favor Saturday night, as they are 92-6 all-time on their home floor and Michigan State has dropped seven consecutive non-conference road games against Top 25 opponents dating back to 2002.
A win for the Spartans can put them into the Top 25 for the first time this season, though. They have the third most votes amongst other teams sitting just outside the Top 25 in the AP poll and fifth in the Coaches poll. They have won their last seven games by an average of 25.7 points.
