No. 23 Michigan State only led by two points at the half, but made the necessary adjustments at halftime to come away with a relatively easy win against the Bowling Green Falcons on Saturday night -- their 9th straight win of the season.
The Spartans were being dominated on the boards in the first half, a huge reason why they only led by two at the break, but managed to finish the game with 36 rebounds to the Falcons' 30. Michigan State moved the ball well, too, finishing with 15 assists to go with their 25 baskets. MSU outscored BG 39-27 in the second half.
Michigan State's Brandon Wood led all scorers with 16 on 5-of-8 shooting. Draymond Green added 12 points and 10 rebounds, and also had a team-high six assists.
Jehvon Clarke led the Falcons with 14 points.
The Spartans (9-2) now have two more tune ups before they start the Big Ten schedule against No. 20 Indiana on December 28.
