JaJuan Johnson Dominates As Purdue Blows Out MSU

JaJuan Johnson scored 20 points and grabbed 17 rebounds as Purdue destroyed Michigan State at the Breslin Center, 67-47.

Johnson almost notched a triple-double for the Boilermakers (24-5, 13-3 Big Ten), blocking seven shots to go along with his already impressive stat line. E’Twan Moore added 17 points and Lewis Jackson 16 for Purdue, which held MSU to its lowest home point total this season.

Michigan State went as far as senior guard Kalin Lucas could take them. Lucas scored 23 of MSU’s 47 points for the game as the Spartans (16-12, 8-8) slipped further out of the NCAA tournament picture.

Purdue led 33-24 at halftime, and MSU was only that close due to Lucas’ 15 points. MSU shot just 33 percent from the floor and made just one of its 11 three pointers on the day.
