Michigan State has replaced former offensive coordinator Don Treadwell, who took the head coach job at Miami (Ohio), with Dan Roushar. Roushar was previously Michigan State's offensive line coach, so it's not expected that the transition from Treadwell to him will be very difficult since Mark Dantonio decided to fill the position internally.
With Roushar taking over the offensive coordinator job (he will also coach tight ends), Mark Staten will become the offensive line coach for MSU. Brad Salem, MSU's running backs coach, will add the recruiting coordinator job to his list of duties. Dave Warner, the quarterbacks coach for Michigan State, will not have his duties changed.
As MSU continues to reshape its coaching staff, it is expected that Central Michigan wide receivers coach Terry Samuel will take the same job with the Spartans. This move has not been announced yet, but hiring Samuel would fill out the coaching staff on the offensive side of the ball for MSU.
