Michigan State's basketball home, the Breslin Center, is going to undergo a bit of a technology upgrade this summer. Finally the old Diamond Vision scoreboard is going to be replaced, and also a new LED ring is going to be installed to circle the arena. From SpartanMag:
↵↵↵Ianni (see video above) also briefly mentioned some 'new toys' that will go into Breslin by August 1. The 'toys' include new displays including a new scoreboard (which will be 6mm replay screens like those seen in Ohio State's Value City Arena) and an LED ring circling the arena (much like many of the top arenas in the country).

This upgrade will definitely be a big improvement for watching MSU basketball games in person. The Diamond Vision scoreboard is, well, old. New technology has made it necessary for many programs to spend the money to install a new scoreboard, and it's good to see MSU is finally making the change.
↵Now let's hope MSU has future plans to install a new scoreboard and sound system at Spartan Stadium. The current scoreboard was pretty bad 10 years ago, so by now a new one is long overdue. The same goes for the sound system, which just isn't very good. I would imagine if the funds are there, upgrading the technology at Spartan Stadium is near the top of the list of priorities.
