Possible Designs For Michigan State's Nike Pro Combat Uniforms

UPDATE: The Michigan State pro combat jerseys were unveiled on Sept. 13.

It was announced earlier this week that Michigan State will suit up in Nike Pro Combat uniforms on Oct. 15 against Michigan. Details about what Michigan State's Pro Combat jersey and helmet will look like aren't expected to be announced until next month, but SpartanMag.com's Jim Comparoni has heard that a few different options are being considered.

One potential design, according to Comparoni, includes a matte green helmet that has the scrapped new Spartan logo on it. The logo would be a darker green than the rest of the helmet and would include bronze, which was added to some jerseys last year as a third color.

Another design would include the same scrapped new logo. The difference is the helmet would be matte black. The logo would be bronze, so no green would be involved. Actually, the other two helmet designs don't include any green, either. There is apparently a white helmet option with a gray logo that is a Spartan version of Boise State's Pro Combat helmet. The other non-green option includes a bronze helmet with no logo and a matte black face mask.

There aren't as many specifics out for possible jersey designs, but Comparoni mentions that the options include green and black uniforms. Considering how many different helmet options there are, we could see MSU come out in all-black, all-green or even a combination of green, black and bronze. It will be interesting to see what MSU and Nike decide on when the final uniform design is made public.
