SB Nation's Chris Dobbertean has evaluated the resumes of all of college basketball now that we have reached the rough halfway point of the season and his first Bracketology column is out. In it, both of Michigan's Big Ten teams have passed his mettle and are included in his NCAA field:

  • The Michigan St. Spartans, as the leaders of the Big Ten through four games, have a solid No. 2 seed in the No. 2 seed in the East region. they would face MAC champion Ball State in this scenario, but that conference could still see a team from Michigan reach the tournament.
  • The Michigan Wolverines are also solidly in the field, but could be a victim of the dreaded 5/12 upset game. Michigan earned a No. 5 seed in the South region against Colorado of the Pac-12. That game would be played in Nashville, giving no one a real advantage.
