Michigan State Vs. Purdue Final Score: No. 7 Spartans Pick Up Big Ten Victory, 76-62

The No. 7 Michigan St. Spartans visited the Purdue Boilermakers on Sunday, hoping to stay atop the Big Ten standings with a win. They faced a tough opponent in the Boilermakers through the first half, but Purdue wilted after the break and the Spartans picked up the win by a final score of 76-62.

Michigan State trailed 38-35 after the first half and it appeared that an upset would be in the offing. The second half was a far different story, as Michigan State opened up a 10-point lead in fairly short order and never looked back. Draymond Green had a double-double in the game, leading Spartans scorers with 20 points and adding 10 rebounds. Branden Dawson also managed a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

With the win, the Spartans improve to 11-3 in the Big Ten, with an overall record of 22-5. Their next game will be on the road against the Minnesota Golden Gophers on February Wednesday, Feb. 22.
