Michigan State Recruiting: CSN Chicago Ranks Spartans' Class No. 7 In Big Ten

With the dust settling on national signing day, CSN Chicago gathered analysis from Midwest recruiting expert Tom Lemming of CBS College Sports to rank the recruiting classes for the Big Ten conference.

The Michigan State Spartans check in at No. 7 in the recruiting class rankings which is due in part to the 18-player class and the lack of high-impact players and an abundance of 3-star prospects. As Lemming notes, Michigan State is starting to make some progress in expanding their reach to other areas of the country which has become a trend among Big Ten schools.

As for the class, here is what CSN Chicago had to say.

7. MICHIGAN STATE: The Spartans got one of the best prospects in Michigan in WR Aaron Burbridge but they had more success in Ohio, Florida and Georgia. Coach Mark Dantonio is especially pleased with defensive backs Ezra Robinson, Demetrious Cox, Mark Meyers and Jermaine Edmondson.
