Michigan State Vs. Indiana Final Score: Spartans Fall On Road To Hoosiers, 70-55

Michigan State's bid for a perfect February was denied on Tuesday night by Indiana. The Hoosiers completed their goal of taking down another top-five team at home by controlling the Spartans in a 70-55 victory. Indiana got up on MSU early and although the Spartans managed to cut the lead down to six multiple times in the second half, they couldn't close the gap. The Hoosiers pulled away again at the end to snap Michigan State's seven-game winning streak.

Although MSU lost, Tuesday night's game solidified Draymond Green's case for Big Ten Player of the Year. He kept the Spartans in this game by netting 29 points and picking up eight rebounds. Green shot 10-of-17 from the field and three-of-six from behind the arc. By comparison, the rest of his team combined for only 26 points on 10-of-34 shooting.

Indiana got a much more balanced effort with five different players scoring in double digits. Cody Zeller led the way with 18 points and was followed by Victor Oladipo (13 points) and Verdell Jones III (12 points). Jordan Hulls and Christian Watford each netted 10 points for the Hoosiers.

Michigan State's next game isn't for five days. On Sunday, the Spartans will wrap up the regular season at home against Ohio State. If Ohio State beats Northwestern on Wednesday or Michigan beats Illinois on Thursday and Penn State on Sunday, the Spartans will need a victory to clinch an outright Big Ten title.
