Michigan State Football To Submit Waiver For DeAnthony Arnett Soon

Michigan State associate athletic director John Lewandowski said that DeAnthony Arnett's request for a waiver to play this season after transferring from Tennessee is almost completed. Via Joe Rexrode:

MSU is waiting on a few more medical documents before submitting the waiver paperwork on DeAnthony Arnett, associate AD John Lewandowski said today. The expectation is that the NCAA will rule in three weeks once it receives those documents -- which could be any day now, Lewandowski said.

Arnett, who caught 24 passes last season as a freshman at Tennessee, transferred to Michigan State to be closer to his ailing father, who is currently on dialysis and recently had heart surgery. Arnett's home in Saginaw is less than an hour drive from the Spartans campus in East Lansing.
