Oregon finished fifth in the final BCS standings last season, while Michigan State ranked 17th. Since Mark Dantonio took over in 2006, Michigan State has compiled a 44-21 record. In 2010, Dantonio led Michigan State to a share of the Big Ten Championship with a 7-1 record-- the Spartans first Big Ten Championship in over 20 years.
Based on their improvement on the field, Michigan State has scheduled some tough non-conference opponents in the upcoming seasons. Via Hollis:
In upcoming years Spartans will host Oregon, Notre Dame, Alabama, Boise State, Miami (Fla). Celebrate the State games for Michigan economy.
