NCAA Tournament 2012, Michigan State Vs. Louisville Score Update: Spartans Down 23-18 After Season-Low First Half

In the Sweet 16 on Thursday night, the No. 1 Michigan State Spartans are not playing so sweet on offense. The 18 points they have after 20 minutes is a season low, but luckily their defense is as great as No. 4 Louisville's and they only trail 23-18 to the Cardinals.

The Spartans started the game by not hitting any iron with their first few shots and finished 6-of-22 from the field and only 2-of-9 from downtown in the half. Draymond Green missed his first three shots but finished with seven points to go along with six rebounds.

Louisville's offense is getting bailed out by the long ball, as they have seven makes from beyond the arc on 15 tries. They are just 1-of-15 on two-point tries, though.
