The No. 5 Michigan State Spartans (24-6, 13-4) look to secure the outright Big Ten regular-season championship when they host the No. 10 Ohio State Buckeyes (24-6, 12-5) on Sunday afternoon at the Breslin Center.
The Spartans stumbled on their way to the Big Ten title, losing their last game at Indiana 70-55 to snap a seven-game winning streak, but that loss should help Tom Izzo squeeze a championship-level performance out of his team in what should be a raucous environment on Senior Day in East Lansing.
One of those Spartan seniors, Draymond Green can not only lead his team to sole possession of the Big Ten title but he can also wrap up Big Ten Player of the Year honors by beating the Buckeyes and their leading man, Jared Sullinger.
If Ohio State wins, Michigan State will maintain a share of the Big Ten championship and still have the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten tournament next week in Indianapolis.
