Ohio State Vs. Michigan State Final Score: William Buford Gives Buckeyes 72-70 Win, Share Of Big Ten Title

There will be a three-way tie on top of the Big Ten basketball standings. William Buford hit a long jumper at the top of the key with one second left, and Ohio State escaped with a 72-70 win over Michigan State in East Lansing. The Spartans will still have the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten Tournament next week, with Michigan at No. 2 and Ohio State at No. 3. All three finished 13-5 in the Big 10 in the regular season.

The game went down to the wire, with both teams trading big baskets. The Spartans took a two-point lead with 1:08 remaining on two free throws by Draymond Green, but Aaron Craft hit a long two point jump shot with 54 seconds left to tie the score. The Spartans went back to Green on the ensuing possession, but he missed a tough fadeaway jumper, giving the Buckeyes the ball back with 29 seconds left with a chance to win the game. The Buckeyes were struggling with their possession, but Buford bailed them out with a tough shot with Keith Appling.
