Bracketology 2012: Detroit Moves Up To No. 15 Seed, Faces Michigan State In New SB Nation Bracket

Both the Michigan State Spartans and the Michigan Wolverines will have much better ideas where they're going to end up in the NCAA Tournament bracket once they've played a couple of games in the Big Ten tournament. Early losses could knock them down a few pegs while particularly impressive performances leading to a win could potentially give either Michigan school an outside shot at one of the No. 1 seeds.

Detroit on the other hand are in a situation that isn't likely to change. The Horizon Conference winners are probably going to stay down around the 14-16 range of seeding after a lackluster year and a bit of luck handing them the tournament as much as anything.

The newest SB Nation Bracketology prediction is out and there's not all that many surprises on it despite all of the conference tournament games played in the past few days. One move of note is Detroit up from a 16 to a 15 seed in the Midwest bracket, where they're slated to take on none other than the Spartans of Michigan State. The Wolverines are listed as a three seed, playing Davidson in the East bracket.

Barring any huge upsets in the Big Ten tournament, these are numbers that you can probably expect to stay somewhat constant until Selection Sunday rolls around.
