Michigan State football coach Mark Dantonio signed one quarterback in his 2012 recruiting class and it appears he signed a good one, according to reports from an Ohio high school all-star game on Friday.
Lima Central Catholic's Tyler O'Connor threw for 243 yards and two touchdowns for the South squad in the North-South Ohio prep all-star football game Friday. The North went on to post a 21-16 victory over the South.
O'Connor completed 18-of-33 passes in an impressive performance for the South team that saw him connect with Air Force recruit Jalen Robinette for his first touchdown and Toledo recruit Armani Miller for the second. With Andrew Maxwell ready to take over the quarterback position for Michigan State, O'Connor will come to East Lansing looking to battle Connor Cook for the backup spot.
