Michigan State Football Recruiting: Darian Hicks Commits

Michigan State is now back to seven commits for its 2013 football recruiting class. The Spartans dropped to six last week when Caleb Benenoch decommitted, but a commitment from Ohio cornerback Darian Hicks on Wednesday night pushed the number back to seven.

Hicks, who was expected by many to commit this past weekend but waited until Wednesday, is a three-star recruit on Rivals, Scout and ESPN. 24/7 Sports has him rated as a four-star recruit and ranks him 27th at cornerback and 20th in the state of Ohio.

According to Rivals, Hicks' offer list includes Michigan State, Boston College, Cincinnati, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisville, Minnesota, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Syracuse, Virginia and West Virginia, among other schools.
