Michigan State 2014 Football Schedule: Wyoming To Play Spartans In East Lansing On Sept. 20

The Spartans are scheduled to play Jacksonville State, Eastern Michigan, Oregon and Wyoming in non-conference play in 2014.

The Michigan State Spartans finalized their 2014 football slate on Wednesday, as The Only Colors is reporting the school has confirmed that the Wyoming Cowboys be the 12th and final school on the team's schedule.

Set to make the trek to East Lansing for an early season battle on September 20, Wyoming has made major strides as a program in recent years and is coming off an 8-5 campaign where it fell to Temple in the New Mexico Bowl. Still hardly a known commodity when it comes to competitive football among fans, the Cowboys need all the exposure they can get right now, and gladly accepted the offer to play in front of a raucous East Lansing crowd without a return trip to Wyoming.

In addition to the Cowboys, Michigan State's 2014 non-conference schedule also includes Jacksonville State, Eastern Michigan and, wait for it, Oregon on the road. Along with the always interesting trip to The Big House against Michigan on October 11, the Spartans will have their hands full on their home turf plenty of times during the 2014 campaign, and are set to close out their home schedule with Nebraska and Iowa.
