College Football Rankings: Michigan State Climbs To No. 8 In SB Nation BlogPoll

The latest SB Nation BlogPoll has been released, and Mark Dantonio's Michigan State Spartans moved up one spot to No. 8 after rolling over Central Michigan on Saturday, 41-7.

The Spartans remain the top Big Ten school in the rankings, as No. 13 Ohio State, their next closest competitor, conspicuously received one first-place vote in the balloting.

Not convinced by Denard Robinson and the Michigan Wolverines after their 31-25 victory over Air Force, voters dropped Brady Hoke's squad down two more places to No. 21 overall. The Wolverines began the year with high hopes and an overwhelming amount of support in the BlogPoll, but will now definitely need to put forth a string of impressive games to win back voters.

In a lopsided victory among voters, Nick Saban's Alabama Crimson Tide picked up 88 of the 94 first-place votes to earn the No. 1 spot over Louisiana State and USC. Alabama remains the class of college football after trouncing the Wolverines in Week 1, but will face a stout test against the Arkansas Razorbacks this Saturday.
