Michigan State Football Recruiting: Deon Drake Commits

Before Dennis Finley committed to Michigan State last month, it had been a long, long time since somebody from Detroit Cass Tech decided to become a Spartan. Now, Michigan State has two Cass Tech players set to join their football program in the future. Finley was the first to commit, and Cass Tech linebacker Deon Drake, a 2014 recruit, became the second by committing to Michigan State on Sunday.

Drake is currently unrated on most sites since he is a 2014 recruit. He does already have four stars on 24/7 Sports, which ranks him fourth in the state of Michigan and sixth at his position. Nationally, he is ranked 173rd.

According to Rivals, Drake holds offers from Michigan State, Cincinnati, Iowa, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and Syracuse.
