Tom Izzo's Michigan State Spartans are set to play host to the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions on Wednesday night, as the Spartans look to notch their seventh win of the season.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff brings a 1-6 record into the game. The Golden Lions' lone win this season came against the Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks. Arkansas-Pine Bluff averages a meager 54 points per game, and just 9.7 assists per game -- so the Spartans should have no problem containing the Golden Lions' offensive attack.
The Spartans will attempt to notch their second straight win. Michigan State had a five-game winning streak snapped on Nov. 28, when the Spartans lost to the Miami Hurricanes. Michigan State rebounded on Dec. 1, with a convincing 84-39 win over the Nicholls State Colonels.
Izzo's Spartans will attempt to keep shooting well from the field, as the Spartans rank 24th in the country with a 48.2% field goal percentage.
Tip-off is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 5, at 8 p.m. ET, from the Jack Breslin Student Events Center.
