The No. 19 Michigan State Spartans host the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers on Saturday at the Breslin Center in East Lansing, Mich.
The Spartans (7-2) shoot for their third consecutive win after losing to Miami on Nov. 28, a loss that snapped a five-game winning streak. Since then, Michigan State has notched blowout victories over Nicholls State and Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
Loyola-Chicago enters the game with a 6-2 record, but the Ramblers haven't faced much significant competition. In its only game against a major-conference opponent, Loyola-Chicago was defeated handily by the South Florida Bulls.
Assuming the Spartans can take care of business, they'll win their 70th consecutive game over an unranked non-conference opponent. The Ramblers may have emotion on their side, though; head coach Porter Moser was an assistant under the late Rick Majerus at St. Louis, and he'll be missing the legend's funeral in order to coach his team against the Spartans.
Tipoff is slated for 2 p.m. ET, and the game can be seen on the Big Ten Network.
