Saturday is Senior Day for the Michigan St. Spartans, but all eyes will be on a junior. Running back Le'Veon Bell, the workhorse of Michigan State's offense, is the leading rusher in the Big 10 and may be playing his final game in Spartan Stadium, if he decides to jump to the NFL.
As far as the team as a whole goes, Saturday represents an opportunity for the Spartans (5-5, 2-4) to reach bowl eligibility. They can improve their bowl position by winning out, even though the season will no doubt end in disappointment either way. The Northwestern Wildcats (7-3, 3-3), on the other hand, are already bowl eligible and could finish with nine wins for the first time since 2008.
The game features a matchup of two of the top backs in the conference. Northwestern counters Bell with Venric Mark, who has rushed for 1,176 yards and 10 touchdowns on the season. Bell is the conference's third-leading rusher.
Game time, TV channel: 12 p.m. ET, ESPN2
