The Michigan St. Spartans will play in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl, the team officially announced on Sunday. Mark Dantonio's team will face a to-be-determined opponent from the Big 12 for the Dec. 29 game in Tempe, Ariz.

The Spartans are headed to their sixth consecutive bowl game and their first to the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl. Last year, the Spartans won a triple-overtime thriller against Georgia in the Outback Bowl.

MSU will receive 11,000 tickets which will be sold for $25 to $125, according to the team's Twitter.

In a season considered underwhelming because of the program's recent success, Michigan State went 6-6 and 3-5 in the Big Ten this season, finishing fourth in the Legends Division.

The Spartans are behind Wisconsin, Nebraska, Michigan and Northwestern in the Big Ten bowl game pecking order. The Badgers will represent the conference in the Rose Bowl, the Cornhuskers will head to the Capital One Bowl, Michigan will play in the Outback Bowl and Northwestern will play in the TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl.
