The Michigan State Spartans and TCU Horned Frogs are set to square off in the 2012 Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl on Saturday, and experts expect a close contest. The Horned Frogs are favored by 2 1/2 points in the current line, and they have defeated some quality teams this year, including No. 21 West Virginia and No. 16 Texas, so experts have leaned in TCU's direction more often with straight-up picks.
At NBC College Football Talk, John Tamanaha believes the Horned Frogs will emerge with a 24-19 win over the Spartans. He also came up with a very interesting factoid about the matchup: "Michigan State (6-6) and TCU (7-5) combined for a grand total of zero conference victories at home this season."
The six-man panel of experts at CBS Sports split 4-2 in favor of TCU, and three of the four experts on the FOX Sports panel also sided with the Horned Frogs. In other words, most experts think this game will be an uphill battle for MSU.
