Travis Jackson injury: Michigan State lineman carted off

Michigan State Spartans sophomore center Travis Jackson was carted off the field with what appeared to be a right leg injury in the second quarter of Saturday's game against the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Joe Rexrode of the Detroit Free Press reported that Jackson was not able to put any weight on the leg. Ethan Ruhlandcame into the game to replace Jackson.

There was no word on the severity of Jackson's injury.

Ohio State leads Michigan State 7-3 in the second quarter. Both teams scored on their opening drives. Ohio State started the game with a long drive capped by a 1-yard touchdown run by Jordan Hall. Michigan State responded with a 35-yard field goal by Dan Conroy on its first drive. Since then, both defenses have dominated in a physical game.

Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller has ran for 73 yards and passed for 53. Michigan State running back Le'Veon Bell has 64 combined rushing and receiving yards.
