Michigan State defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi denied rumors that he will be the next defensive coordinator at Southern California, according to Mike Griffith of Mlive.com.
Narduzzi told Griffith that "there is absolutely no truth to anything that has been said about me coaching at USC."
Narduzzi also said that he has not spoken with anyone from USC.
Monte Kiffin was the defensive coordinator for the Trojans last season and earned $1.5 million. Narduzzi made $500,000 at Michigan State where he coached the best defense in the Big Ten for the second consecutive season.
The Michigan State defense gave up just 16.3 points per game this year which ranked ninth nationally. Michigan State ranked in the top 10 in the country in all major defensive categories this past season.
Narduzzi was also a candidate for the vacant head coach position at Cincinnati earlier this offseason, but the Bearcats opted to hire Tommy Tuberville away from Texas Tech.
