During his playing and coaching career, Rich Rodriguez has only beaten Penn State once. As Michigan's head coach, he has lost his first two games against Penn State, dropping the meeting in 2008 by a score of 46-17 and losing in 2009, 35-10. As a player at West Virginia, Rodriguez lost the first three years of his career. In his senior year, however, Rodriguez and WVU finally beat the Nittany Lions, edging them out by a score of 17-14.
↵As if beating Penn State in his senior year wasn't special enough, Rodriguez actually intercepted a pass during the 17-14 win. The video has been on YouTube for a few years and was brought up again this week since Michigan plays Penn State. You can check it out for yourself below, and hopefully Michigan's defense is taking notes for Saturday.
