Dee Hart Commits To Michigan Over Alabama

Orlando running back Dee Hart announced tonight that he has committed to Michigan. The class of 2011 back picked the Wolverines over Alabama after previously eliminating Auburn and Arkansas.

Hart is a four-star recruit on Rivals, Scout and ESPN. Rivals ranks him as the No. 1 all-purpose back in the nation and the 37th best player overall. Scout has him as the ninth-best running back in the country.

Hart has offers from the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Tennessee, among others. Michigan, which offered him some time ago, has been recruiting him pretty hard for a couple years now. Throughout the process it seemed like he was a Michigan lean, and although this announcement doesn't make it official, he is finally on board as an actual commit.

Tom VanHaaren, who has been all over this story, reports that Hart is going to enroll early at Michigan. That means he will come to U-M in January and be able to get a head start on adjusting to life as a student and a football player at Michigan. Considering he is a perfect fit for the Rich Rodriguez offense and could be the perfect complement to Denard Robinson, it's good that he will be in Ann Arbor sooner rather than later.
