Last weekend, Grand Blanc running back recruit Justice Hayes decommitted from Notre Dame. He had been verbally committed to the Fighting Irish since July, but he changed his mind suddenly, reopening his recruitment. It was expected that he would take at least a few weeks to decide on a new school, but just as suddenly as he decommitted from ND, he committed to a new school: Michigan.
↵Hayes originally considered Michigan when he made the decision to pick ND, but his change of heart to the Wolverines this week was very unexpected. After decommitting, Michigan was expected to be one of the schools he considered rather than the school he picked, but no one thought another decision was going to be made so soon. That's exactly what happened, though, as Hayes committed to Michigan, becoming the 13th member of the Wolverines' 2010 recruiting class.
↵Hayes is ranked as the third all-purpose running back in the nation on Rivals and the No. 4 player in the state of Michigan. Fellow Michigan commit Dee Hart is actually ranked as the top all-purpose back in the nation, so Michigan is in good shape at RB for this class. (Hayes is a four-star recruit on Rivals, Scout and ESPN.)
