Michigan, Michigan State To Start Games At 3:30 On Oct. 2

The Big Ten announced the TV arrangements and kickoff times for games on Oct. 2, which is the first day of conference play.

Michigan State's big game against Wisconsin will be a 3:30 p.m. start on ABC. It is part of the reverse mirror system ABC/ESPN uses, meaning the game will be on ABC locally and ESPN2 in the rest of the country. The Spartans should be 4-0 going into this game, so it's no surprise that it is one of the featured games in the afternoon.

If MSU can beat Wisconsin, it's possible that the Spartans and Wolverines will both be undefeated heading into their Oct. 9 matchup. Michigan has to get by Indiana first, though. The Wolverines' game against the Hoosiers on Oct. 2 is also a 3:30 p.m. start, although it will be broadcast on ESPNU.

(Side note: The start time/TV arrangements for the U-M/MSU game will be announced either Monday or a week from Monday. It depends on if the TV networks want to wait a week to see what happens on Oct. 2 before determining the details, although I'd bet on it being a 3:30 p.m. start on ABC regardless of what happens next week.
