Michigan, Michigan State Move Up In AP And Coaches Polls

Michigan and Michigan State moved up in both the AP and USA Today college football polls after big blowout wins, along with losses by four other Top 25 teams.

The Wolverines nudged up one spot in the AP poll, from No. 21 to 20. They received a bigger boost in the coaches poll, climbing from No. 22 to 19.

It's a similar story for the Spartans. In the AP, Michigan State moved up from No. 25 to 24. But they made a bigger jump in the USA Today rankings, moving from No. 23 to 21.

Both the Wolverines and Spartans notched impressive wins over lesser competition over the weekend. Michigan ran over Bowling Green, 65-21. Michigan State routed Northern Colorado, 45-7. Meanwhile, Texas, Arkansas, South Carolina and Oregon State each lost in the Top 25.
