Michigan and Michigan State moved up in both the AP and USA Today college football polls after big blowout wins, along with losses by four other Top 25 teams.
↵The Wolverines nudged up one spot in the AP poll, from No. 21 to 20. They received a bigger boost in the coaches poll, climbing from No. 22 to 19.
↵It's a similar story for the Spartans. In the AP, Michigan State moved up from No. 25 to 24. But they made a bigger jump in the USA Today rankings, moving from No. 23 to 21.
↵Both the Wolverines and Spartans notched impressive wins over lesser competition over the weekend. Michigan ran over Bowling Green, 65-21. Michigan State routed Northern Colorado, 45-7. Meanwhile, Texas, Arkansas, South Carolina and Oregon State each lost in the Top 25.
